The intention of Spiritual Guidance in my practice is to help clients find a connection with spiritual paths and practices that match their longings. Often we find that in conjunction with counselling and psychotherapy, as ‘problems’ are resolved new and deeper longings open up, that new pathways start to emerge, that new depths are called forth. Frequently it is in the realm of spirituality that these issues of core values and concerns can be addressed.
 
I have completed a two-year training program with Atum O’Kane in Spiritual Guidance and I continue to study with him. These trainings have had Jungian perspectives as a base and have included archetypes of the masculine and feminine and the metaphors of alchemy.
 
I also have studied extensively with Ralph Metzner in areas of mythology, alchemy, shamanic methods, and guided visualization.
 
These studies have helped to address deep questions of meaning and values in my own life.
 
In my own experience, as with many people in ‘mid-life’ faced with the death of elders and one’s own inescapable mortality, these questions arise and become more pungent.
